Hi, I'm Ellie
I'm your friendly, local OG reading tutor! I offer individualized reading lessons using the Orton-Gillingham approach to help your student improve their reading and writing skills.

Bio

I have worked with striving readers for over a decade. During the school year, I am a special education teacher in a resource setting at a local high school. I teach reading classes to teenagers with severe reading disabilities.
During the pandemic, I began taking classes on Orton-Gillingham and implementing the OG approach in my high school classroom. Since then, I have seen my students' reading skills take off! Not only am I seeing the gains in their independent decoding, spelling, and comprehension skills, but my students also say that the lessons are helpful and they see the changes as well!
In addition to my classroom teaching, I have been tutoring with explicit, diagnostic, prescriptive, sequential, and systematic individualized lessons for three years. If you're interested in this approach for your student, send me a message in the contact me box below!
